show Abstracthide AbstractThe project studied the differential gene expression of two L. plantarum strains in conditions of butanol stress. The strain Ym1 is highly resistant to butanol and is able to grow in medium containing up to 3% (v/v) of the solvent. The strain 8-1 is less resistant tolerating butanol at concentration 2% (v/v). A total of 516 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) are found in L. plantarum 8-1. The number of DEGs in the butanol-resistant strain Ym1 is almost 40% lower (319).
